This page says what the subverse keeps about you, why, and for how long. In short: only your email address and your rat number, and only if you join.

Visiting the site
Your browser sends the server your IP address with every request, as all browsers do. The server uses it to answer and keeps no record of your visits. Only errors are logged, without your IP address.
The site sets no tracking and no advertising cookies and loads nothing from other companies: the fonts are on this server. What you find (the words of the verse you're on, and signed notes of the lines and verses you've finished) is saved in your own browser's storage, so it is there when you come back, and is sent to the server with each guess so it can check it. The server keeps none of it for visitors, and clearing your browser's site data removes it. If you have a rat number, it is also kept with your number, so it follows you to other devices, and it is deleted when you leave. If you take one of a limited crumb's numbered editions, which edition belongs to which rat number is kept, without your address, like your number itself. When a code is used, the time and, for a rat, the rat number are kept, to count how often it was used. Guesses are counted per IP address for five minutes, only to slow down guessing machines, and not stored.
Joining the subverse
If you join, we keep your email address, the rat number you are given, and when and from which IP address you asked to join and confirmed. The last two are kept to prove that you really asked for the emails (double opt-in). We use your address only to send you emails from Morefew, with new crumbs and news from the subverse, and to send your way back in when you ask for it. We don't measure whether or when you open them. Legal basis: your consent, Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR, and for the proof Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR.
If you don't confirm within 30 days, your address is deleted. If you leave, with the link in every email, your address is deleted straight away. Your rat number is kept, without anything that identifies you, so that it is never given to someone else.
Who processes data for us
The site runs on a server rented from netcup GmbH, Daimlerstraße 25, 76185 Karlsruhe, Germany. Emails are sent through Brevo (Sendinblue SAS, 106 boulevard Haussmann, 75008 Paris, France). Both work for us under a data processing agreement (Art. 28 GDPR) and process the data inside the European Union.
Your rights
You can ask what we keep about you, have it corrected or deleted, restrict or object to its use, and take it with you (Art. 15 to 21 GDPR). You can withdraw your consent at any time, for the future. Write to the address above. You can also complain to a data protection authority, for example the Berliner Beauftragte für Datenschutz und Informationsfreiheit, Alt-Moabit 59–61, 10555 Berlin.
